Volunteers needed for report on domestic workers

Domestic workers are arguably one of the most underappreciated elements of our workforce.

They deserve only the best support and I’m here to make sure that happens.

As part of the work I do, I’m looking to produce an industry report to explore some of the trends that I’m currently seeing from working in the domestic space.

Specifically, I’m interested in how we can support agencies to help their clients to stay safe with regards to employment law and compliance yet nurture that unique relationship of trust that exists between employer and those working within their home.

I’m looking to have a chat over Zoom with anyone who:

  • runs a recruitment agency specialising in domestic workers;
  • or is involved in an association for domestic workers or a parallel provider supporting nannies, housekeeping butlers and private healthcare assistants.

The conversation would take about 20 minutes and would be confidential. I’m not trying to sell anything, just to build a greater understanding of what support is needed in the sector.

Once I’ve obtained sufficient information, I’ll produce a report showing my findings.

Anyone who thinks that they can help can get in touch via my contact page or by mailing sophiehunter@sehunterassociates.co.uk.
